A KETO-licious breakfast

Our ancestors sure didn’t have non-chewable smoothies for breakfast. Nor did they eat sugary cereals or bananas so sweet that the blood sugar and insulin levels would shoot to the roof (modern fruits and ancestral fruits are not the same, modern types are like candy).
Neither did our forebears munch on grains, which can inhibit nutrient uptake and be a root cause behind nutrient deficiencies, as well as cause tummy aches, gut problems and physical symptoms indicating inflammation or imbalances, and cognitive impairment such as brain fog. And again, a roller coaster blood sugar ride - often with nasty consequences in forms of bad mood, impatience and irritability, followed by itching-like cravings and hunger pangs.
A breakfast, lunch or dinner in alignment with our ancestral blueprint, is animal protein such as steak. A heart-healthy fat source, like extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil and an egg yolk. And a low-carb veggie, for instance lightly sauteed asparagus. Sprinkled with unprocessed salt (sans unnecessary additives and emulsifiers).
Real food is delicious, and will give you a stable blood sugar meaning proper energy that lasts throughout the day. A satisfied brain, and cognitive clarity. Better mood and greater access to your creativity and inner fire. A healthy gut microbiome, and a healthy body.
Eating well is also synonym with self-love, which is key not just for you, but a gift also for the people you care about. Not only because you will most likely be a better version of you (food affects us and how we feel, behave and do) but also because you will increase your chances of living a healthy, vibrant, longer and good quality life. Which means more time, in health, with your loved ones.
With love,
Hanna 💜
